DEAR WHITE PEOPLE follows the stories of four black students at an Ivy League college where a riot breaks out over a popular “African American” themed party thrown by white students. With tongue planted firmly in cheek, the film will explore racial identity in “post-racial” America while weaving a universal story of forging one’s unique path in the world.

Artist Spotlight: Meet Kojo Owusu-Kusi

Ghanaian graphic designer Kojo Owusu-Kusi uses an interesting blend of pop-culture and humor that sets his t-shirt line (Citizins) apart from the rest. This same combination along with an underlying presence of his West African roots makes his paintings equally extraordinary. Being born in Ghana and raised in London and Virginia adds to Kusi’s diverse cultural background and contributes greatly to his artwork. With daring pieces his bold concepts offer an interesting perception of popular cultural themes while still leaving much to the imagination.
